Get to Know Jaimie
My career as a Virtual Operations Manager has been amazing to say the least, and I’m so thrilled to have the joy of waking up every day to do what I love. The past couple years have been an amazing ride, hard work, and moment after moment of victory.
As one of the most professional people you’ll encounter, you’ll still see the typical entrepreneur who is not afraid to let true colors shine. I blog about whatever I want, hold high integrity in everything I stand for, and take my family and job just as serious as the other. I shine best when all cards are on the table and I know what I’m facing, but yet I’m not afraid to play a blind hand with the best in the biz. I stand for transparency and stand in the service for a hybrid of the Virtual Assistant industry and am known as the pioneer in the VOM (Virtual Operations Management) division.
I’m not a perfect person to say the least, but I aim high! I work too hard, curse too much, throw my entrepreneurial temper tantrums more than I probably should and I get riled up way too easily. Playing politics sucks, and when any sign (or feeling) of “Corporate America” looms into my horizon, I stop dead in my tracks, and reroute with a finger in the air. Patience with laziness runs shallow these days, and I hold others to the same expectations I hold myself to. No excuses.
Yes, I’m successful. Yes, I’ve built myself a strong name and reputation in the industry. Yes, I do things different and I think bigger, and I’m always looking for a way to disagree with what the industry calls “typical” or “standards”. But I take none of it for granted!
I don’t like parameters and cages, and I feel best when I can stretch my wings and see the horizon. I separate myself from negativity, parameters, and jerks. I could definitely use a lesson or two with social skills, but find that most people like me for who I am – and those who don’t I still manage to work around.
I’m strong, but I’m not the strongest. I have my moments of weakness, but they don’t last long and I jump back up and keep running. I aim for first place, but many times come in second. And that’s okay, because I set the standards and momentum for the person holding first. In the end, it’s really me they’re keeping up with.
When I’m not cussing at the computer, and throwing temper tantrums over InfusionSoft glitches, I’m a mother of two sons (5, and 2), a wife of 17-years, and a compassionate, giving, loving person. Something special about me is my history as a competitive-martial artist. I owe a lot of who I am today to those years. It is the strength, endurance, integrity, courtesy, and perseverance that have paved the path to my success today. It is that experience which taught me I can do anything!
Life is humiliating at times. But humiliation is the best lesson – and one that you cannot learn from a book. The moments of victory are a life-lesson of how hard work pays off – but the feeling is so humbling and is by far one of the most powerful aspects to my work ethics today.
“The harder you work, the harder you fall, the more victorious you are in the end.”
Virtual Operations Manager – that’s me. I’m not a Virtual Assistant – but some of my clients refer to me as one, and that’s okay. Some refer to me as their Online Business Manager, and others call me their Operations Manager. Either way – whatever you call me – Rambo, Czar, Rockstar, Firecracker (I’ve heard them all) – I’m still a Virtual Operations Manager (VOM) and I manage the larger virtual infrastructure businesses with everything I am.
